ICT Belt and Road Union Launches Pakistan Commercial Center to Boost Economic Cooperation

In a significant move to enhance economic and trade collaboration between China and Pakistan, Zheng Chuanjun, Deputy Secretary General of the ICT Belt and Road Union, and Ms. Ayesha Khan, representative of Lasiro Limited, signed an agreement to establish the Pakistan Commercial Center at the ICT Belt and Road Union.

The announcement took place during the 2024 Future Opportunity Investment Conference, witnessing the participation of government officials, business leaders, and over 500 global entrepreneurs in digital economy and industrial investment.

The Pakistan Commercial Center, operating under the ICT Belt and Road Union, aims to serve as a comprehensive resource for Pakistani businesses seeking expansion into China. It will provide membership services, including market research, legal advice, and other essential support, facilitating the entry of Pakistani enterprises into the Chinese market.

This one-stop-shop platform is poised to connect exporters, importers, and investors, fostering collaboration and exploring opportunities within the Belt and Road Initiative. The center’s strategic role is anticipated to act as a catalyst for increased trade between Pakistan and other Belt and Road countries.

By offering essential services and a networking platform, the Pakistan Commercial Center aspires to empower Pakistani businesses, enabling them to access new markets, enhance competitiveness, and contribute significantly to the economic development of the country.

The launch of this center marks a noteworthy step towards strengthening economic ties and fostering mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Pakistan within the Belt and Road framework.
