Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission has invited applications for six-month research fellowships in China for students pursuing MS and PhD degrees at Pakistani universities.
The fellowships fall under the Academic Collaboration under the CPEC Consortium of Universities programme. The initiative aims to strengthen research partnerships and academic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
Programme Supports Advanced Research
HEC launched the programme to improve research quality by allowing scholars to work in laboratories at Chinese universities.
In addition, participants will collaborate with international researchers, gain practical experience, and strengthen academic networks.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must study full-time in an MS or PhD programme at a Pakistani university.
They must also have an approved research topic and secure an invitation or acceptance letter from a supervisor at a Chinese host university.
Moreover, both the Pakistani university and the Chinese host institution must belong to the CPEC Consortium of Universities.
Applications Open Until August 14
HEC opened applications on July 26 and will accept submissions until August 14.
Therefore, eligible students should complete their applications before the deadline and submit all required documents.
Strengthening Academic Cooperation
The fellowship programme supports broader educational cooperation between Pakistan and China under the CPEC framework.
Furthermore, it encourages joint research, knowledge sharing, and institutional collaboration. As a result, Pakistani scholars can develop advanced research skills while expanding international academic partnerships.
