GDA introduces zonal water framework in Gwadar to improve city-wide distribution and ensure equitable supply. The city has been divided into North and South zones, with dedicated officers and staff overseeing water management in each area.
A new water section within GDA centralizes operations for monitoring, quality control, and maintenance of key infrastructure, including pumping stations, transmission lines, and dams. Executive and assistant engineers have been assigned to supervise daily functions efficiently.
Plans for a formal billing system are underway, with residents asked to register their water connections. Officials hope that these reforms, along with citizen cooperation, will create a long-term sustainable water management system for Gwadar, addressing both current and future needs.
