On the directives of Secretary Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department Muhammad Hashim Ghilzai, Chief Engineer Abdul Muttalib Baloch conducted a detailed inspection of Gwadar’s water supply network, focusing on efficiency and service delivery.
Accompanied by Executive Engineer (XEN) Momin Baloch and Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Dad Karim Baloch, the team visited Gunz and Jiwani to assess operations at the Gunz Water Works Pumping Station and monitor ongoing water distribution.
Officials confirmed that Gunz is now receiving around 20,000 gallons of water through a newly laid pipeline connecting Santsar to the Pileri Pumping Station. The Santsar–Pileri Pipeline Project draws water from natural boring wells in Dasht and supplies multiple areas, including Pileri, Peshkan, and Jiwani. With a daily capacity of approximately 280,000 gallons, the system has significantly enhanced water access for local communities.
The success of the initiative was attributed to the commitment and supervision of PHE officials, particularly XEN Momin Baloch, SDO Dad Karim Baloch, and Supervisor Shakoor Baloch. Chief Engineer Abdul Muttalib Baloch lauded the team’s performance and reaffirmed the department’s resolve to ensure a consistent supply of clean drinking water to residents.
