A high-level delegation from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), China’s national chamber representing private enterprises, visited the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) and met with Chairman Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu to discuss potential investment opportunities.
Led by Director Yi Jiang, the delegation included Mr. Fuzhong Yang, Director for Logistics & Tourism, Mr. Ge Xu, Director, and Mr. Mingqian Sun, Managing Director of Leviathan Holdings Ltd.
Dr. Sidhu briefed the Chinese investors on Pakistan’s market potential, investment climate, and the CCP’s role in promoting fair competition, preventing market dominance, and ensuring a transparent regulatory environment that boosts investor confidence. He reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to creating a level playing field for both local and foreign businesses.
The ACFIC representatives expressed strong interest in Pakistan’s renewable energy, healthcare, education, and logistics sectors. They praised the CCP’s efforts in maintaining a robust regulatory framework that encourages efficiency, innovation, and sustainable market practices.
As China’s leading private sector body, ACFIC operates through more than 3,000 regional federations across provinces, cities, and counties, influencing policy reforms and supporting growth in industry, technology, manufacturing, and trade.
Chairman Sidhu welcomed the delegation’s interest, assuring them that the CCP remains dedicated to facilitating competitive markets that attract foreign investment and contribute to Pakistan’s long-term economic development.
