Judicial and administrative authorities from China and Vietnam convened a border meeting in Nanning, the capital of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from Saturday to Sunday to strengthen bilateral legal cooperation.
This first-of-its-kind meeting gathered around 150 participants from both nations, including officials from justice ministries, local judicial bodies, and members of the legal profession.

Chinese Minister of Justice He Rong emphasized the commitment to boosting cooperation in legislative affairs, legal services, judicial assistance, legal education, and the integration of digital technologies.
Vietnamese Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh noted that the meeting would contribute to building a peaceful, cooperative border, strengthen the countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership, and support the development of a shared Vietnam-China future.
Participants also held in-depth dialogues on legal topics such as lawyer services, mediation, international cooperation, judicial assistance in civil and commercial matters, and legal talent training.
The event concluded with the signing of several cooperation agreements to formalize and expand bilateral efforts.
