China Southern Airlines will increase its flight frequency on the Guangzhou–Lahore route, starting daily operations from January 1, 2026. Currently, the airline operates five weekly flights using a Boeing 787. The upgrade to daily services will employ an Airbus A330 aircraft.
The increased frequency aims to enhance connectivity and passenger capacity between China and Pakistan, benefiting business travelers, students, and tourists. The move also supports stronger trade relations and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s air connectivity with Sri Lanka will improve as low-cost carrier FitsAir launches twice-weekly flights from Colombo to Lahore from January 20, 2026. The airline will operate every Tuesday and Saturday using an Airbus A320, providing additional travel options for passengers.
