Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit in Beijing to discuss strengthening China-Arab relations and regional stability. Wang emphasized China’s support for Arab countries in resisting external interference, achieving unity, and pursuing development paths suited to their national conditions.
The meeting highlighted China’s commitment to non-interference in internal affairs and geopolitical neutrality, promoting shared development and prosperity with Arab nations. Both sides reaffirmed cooperation ahead of the 70th anniversary of China-Arab diplomatic relations and the upcoming second China-Arab States Summit.
Wang stressed the importance of a just resolution to the Palestinian issue, supporting the principle of Palestinians governing Palestine, adherence to the two-state solution, and restoring legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. Ahmed Aboul-Gheit welcomed China’s commitment to fairness, multilateralism, and constructive engagement in global peace and stability.
