Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor 2.0 is laying the foundation for a new era of cooperation between Pakistan and China.
He shared these remarks while addressing the China-Pakistan Political Parties Forum in Beijing.
Shift Toward High-Quality Development
According to Ahsan Iqbal, the next phase of CPEC will move beyond infrastructure-led growth and focus on industrialisation, innovation, sustainability, and agricultural modernisation.
In addition, he said the new phase will promote people-centered development and create long-term economic opportunities for both countries.
Focus on Strategic and Economic Cooperation
The minister highlighted the vision of the Five Economic Corridors and the proposed Five Political Corridors. He explained that future cooperation will focus on strategic alignment, technological advancement, and public welfare.
Furthermore, he stressed that stronger collaboration in these sectors would help build resilient economies and empower local communities.

Ahsan Iqbal reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with China under the framework of CPEC 2.0.
He also noted that both countries aim to achieve shared prosperity through high-quality development, sustainable growth, and deeper regional connectivity.

The minister said the evolving vision of CPEC 2.0 prioritises innovation, community development, and economic resilience.
