Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s full support for China’s core interests during a meeting with a high-level delegation from the National People’s Congress of China led by Vice Chairman Cai Dafeng.
The meeting took place in Islamabad and focused on strengthening bilateral relations and advancing the next phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Focus on CPEC Expansion and Strategic Partnership
The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring the successful expansion of CPEC projects. He described Pakistan-China relations as an “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership” built on trust, mutual respect, and shared regional interests.
The visiting Chinese delegation is in Pakistan to participate in events marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Deepening Political and Economic Cooperation
Both sides discussed ongoing cooperation under CPEC and future development priorities. The Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s continued support for China’s core national interests while highlighting the importance of sustained economic collaboration.
The meeting reflected the long-standing strategic alignment between Pakistan and China and their shared commitment to regional connectivity and development.
