Pakistan’s security forces eliminated 19 Indian-backed terrorists in a series of intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to ISPR.
The operations, conducted on the night of September 9 and 10, targeted militant hideouts in Mohmand, North Waziristan, and Bannu districts. In the Goluno area of Mohmand, troops engaged a terrorist location, killing 14 militants after an intense exchange of fire. Another operation in Datta Khel, North Waziristan, resulted in the elimination of four terrorists, while one more was neutralised during a separate encounter in Bannu.
ISPR confirmed the recovery of weapons and explosives from the slain militants, who were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region. It further emphasised that sanitisation operations are underway to clear remaining threats and reaffirmed the military’s commitment to eradicating terrorism from Pakistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their professionalism and bravery. Both leaders reiterated the nation’s resolve to defeat Indian-sponsored terrorism and expressed full solidarity with the armed forces, stressing that the fight against terrorism would continue until its complete elimination.
