Ahsan hopes for ‘agricultural revolution’ after 1,000 Pakistani experts’ training in China emphasizing on the necessity of modernizing agriculture and bringing reforms.
Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, expressed optimism on Wednesday that Pakistan would experience a transformative shift in agriculture following the completion of training for 1,000 experts in China.
He emphasized the necessity of modernizing agriculture and stated that advancing research and education in this sector is a top government priority.
During a meeting on the training program for these experts, chaired by Iqbal, key attendees included Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain and senior officials from relevant ministries and departments. Iqbal noted that the training, directed by the Prime Minister, aims to modernize Pakistan’s agricultural sector, historically a cornerstone of the economy.
Iqbal highlighted that while Pakistan possesses valuable resources and talented individuals, there is a need to introduce modern technology and methods to enhance crop production significantly.
Rana Tanveer Hussain reiterated the government’s dedication to advancing agriculture, underscoring the Prime Minister’s focus on implementing contemporary agricultural techniques to achieve substantial crop yields and modernize outdated harvesting practices.
