President Asif Ali Zardari has called for tapping into the full potential of Pakistan-Russia relations, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, technological advancement, and cultural exchanges between the peoples of both countries.
He made these remarks while addressing a special ceremony in Islamabad, organized to commemorate Russia’s 35th National Day.
The President noted that Pakistan stands in solidarity with Russia in celebrating this significant occasion, which underscores the friendly ties shared by the two nations.
He highlighted the ongoing high-level interactions between Pakistan and Russia, which have laid a strong foundation for enhanced mutual engagement and deeper understanding.
President Zardari also mentioned the close cooperation between the two countries on regional and international forums, expressing confidence that the bilateral friendship will continue to grow stronger.
He urged both sides to renew their commitment to fostering greater understanding and cooperation.
Extending his warm congratulations, President Zardari conveyed best wishes to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ambassador Albert Khorev, and the Russian people on the occasion.
Earlier, in his welcome remarks, Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert Khorev expressed satisfaction over the current pace of bilateral cooperation across multiple fields.
He reiterated Russia’s steadfast support for Pakistan at international platforms and emphasized the shared commitment to advancing collaboration in education, diplomacy, and joint development initiatives.
