Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General OIC-COMSTECH, emphasized expanding Pakistan-China cooperation in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) while closing the Pakistan TCM Practitioners Training Program. Pakistani doctors successfully completed six months of intensive training at Hunan University and Huaihua University.
Dr. Choudhary praised Chinese universities, Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, NATCM, and ICCBS for their support. The program lays the foundation for integrating TCM into Pakistan’s healthcare system and enhancing scientific collaboration.
Future plans include Phase 2 training, the Zhejiang-Pakistan Joint Laboratory, the China-OIC Youth Summit, the COMSTECH-China Center for Clinical Trials, and a Space Medicine Program, reflecting a long-term partnership between Pakistan and China in science and healthcare.
