Wang Yi met Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in Beijing to strengthen China-Thailand relations.
Wang praised the princess as a long-time friend of the Chinese people. He noted that she has visited China 57 times and witnessed its reform and modernization journey.
Moreover, Wang highlighted that China has entered a new phase under its 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030). He said China is ready to expand cooperation with Thailand in key sectors. These include technology, education, and public welfare.
He also stressed the importance of building a China-Thailand community with a shared future. According to Wang, both sides should continue promoting friendship and achieving practical results.
Meanwhile, Princess Sirindhorn described China as a trusted partner. She appreciated China’s support in talent development and human resource training.
Furthermore, she expressed interest in deepening cooperation in science, agriculture, healthcare, culture, and education. She added that stronger exchanges would improve mutual understanding between the two nations.
Overall, the meeting reflects ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral ties and expand cooperation across multiple sectors.
