Pakistan and China jointly urged peace and stability in the Middle East following high-level diplomatic talks between Ishaq Dar and Wang Yi in Beijing.
The meeting took place at the invitation of China’s foreign minister, where both sides reviewed the rapidly changing security dynamics in West Asia, ongoing diplomatic initiatives, and the strengthening partnership between Islamabad and Beijing. According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the discussions highlighted mutual concerns over regional stability and the importance of coordinated peace efforts.
During the talks, Ishaq Dar briefed Wang Yi on Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic engagement, including a recent high-level meeting in Islamabad involving foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt. The discussions focused on achieving a ceasefire and reviving dialogue to resolve ongoing conflicts in the region.
Wang Yi praised Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and acknowledged its continued support for diplomatic solutions in West Asia. Both leaders emphasized the importance of de-escalation, dialogue, and multilateral cooperation.
The ministers also reviewed the growing strength of Pakistan-China relations, highlighting enhanced strategic collaboration under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC 2.0). They noted increased high-level exchanges and ongoing celebrations marking 75 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Dar expressed appreciation for China’s hospitality and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation. In addition, both sides exchanged views on Afghanistan, stressing the need for peace, stability, and joint counterterrorism efforts in the region.
Pakistan and China agreed to maintain close diplomatic coordination to sustain momentum in bilateral relations and support ongoing regional peace initiatives.
