A new report released Sunday has shed light on China’s innovative ecological conservation model and its growing global influence.
Titled “Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains for Beautiful China and World: China’s Ecological Civilisation Concept and Practice, and How They Inspire the World”, the report was jointly issued by the Xinhua Institute and the Research Centre for Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilisation.
The document outlines the origins, core principles, and global significance of the idea that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,” detailing its theoretical innovation, successful implementation in China, and potential for international application.
Ren Weidong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Xinhua News Agency, said the concept has evolved through practical experience, guiding China to major achievements in green development while offering “Chinese wisdom” for sustainable progress worldwide.
According to the report, the philosophy serves as the cornerstone of China’s ecological civilisation, promoting harmony between humans and nature, balancing development with environmental protection, and aligning closely with global green development goals.
China’s approach, the report notes, has opened a new path for modern civilisation, one marked by economic growth, improved living standards, and environmental stewardship. It also serves as a valuable reference for developing nations aiming to achieve rapid progress while preserving ecological integrity.
