South Air launched its first test flight from Karachi to Gwadar on May 25, marking a new step in regional air connectivity.
Landing safely at New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA), the aircraft confirmed operational readiness of New Gwadar International Airport.

Flight Z8 905 departed Karachi at 12:00 PM and arrived in Gwadar at 3:40 PM. This schedule demonstrates improved airline connectivity between key cities.
In addition, the airport strengthens transport links under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor framework.
Travel time between Gwadar, Karachi, and Quetta is expected to decrease significantly. As a result, passenger movement will become faster and more efficient.
Experts expect stronger economic activity as air and sea routes begin working in tandem. Moreover, Gwadar’s logistics capacity is likely to expand in the coming months.
