The China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) announced on Wednesday that the Shenzhou-20 astronauts currently aboard China’s space station are scheduled to carry out a second spacewalk in the coming days.
Following their initial extravehicular activity on May 22, the crew has been actively engaged in various tasks, including monitoring the onboard environment, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and handling inventory and logistical transfers.
CMSA reported that the astronauts have also made significant headway in scientific experiments, particularly in areas such as space life sciences, human physiology, microgravity physics, and advanced space technologies.
After spending two months in orbit, the agency confirmed that all three astronauts are in good physical condition and that the space station systems remain stable and fully ready for their upcoming spacewalk.
