Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam has said Pakistan and Iran have entered a new era of friendship, describing the bilateral relationship as stronger than ever and built on mutual trust, shared history, and regional cooperation.

In a message posted on X, the ambassador said the relationship between the two neighboring countries has reached a level where no external factor can weaken their bonds of friendship and brotherhood.

Ambassador Highlights Historic Relationship

Reza Amiri Moghadam said the stature of Pakistan-Iran relations stands as high as the peaks of Damavand and K2.

Moreover, he noted that the two countries share centuries of common history, civilization, faith, and culture. These shared values, he said, continue to strengthen bilateral ties.

The ambassador also recalled that Iran was the first country to recognize Pakistan after its independence, while Pakistan was the first country to recognize Iran. He described these milestones as symbols of their unique relationship.

Stronger Cooperation in Recent Years

The ambassador said bilateral relations have grown significantly over the past two years.

Furthermore, he highlighted frequent exchanges between senior leaders and officials from both countries. According to him, these visits have strengthened cooperation and reinforced mutual confidence.

He specifically mentioned the visits of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan, as well as visits by Pakistan’s prime minister and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to Iran.

Parliamentary Support and Solidarity

The ambassador praised the solidarity shown by lawmakers in both countries.

He said Pakistan’s parliament passed a resolution supporting Iran on the first day of what he described as Israeli aggression.

In addition, he recalled that members of the Iranian parliament publicly thanked Pakistan, while many Iranian citizens displayed the flags of both countries during public gatherings.

Vision for Regional Peace

Reza Amiri Moghadam expressed hope that Pakistan and Iran could serve as a model of good neighborly relations for the wider region.

He said both countries can promote mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and sincere cooperation among neighboring Muslim nations.

Moreover, he called for a future where regional countries work together to achieve peace, stability, economic development, and shared prosperity without external interference or conflict.

Commitment to Deeper Cooperation

The ambassador said the growing number of high-level exchanges reflects the strength of Pakistan-Iran relations.

He added that President Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to Islamabad in June 2026 demonstrated Iran’s appreciation for Pakistan’s support and friendship.

Finally, he said both governments remain committed to expanding cooperation and building an even stronger partnership in the years ahead.
