Security forces eliminated seven militants affiliated with the outlawed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), also referred to as “Fitna al Hindustan,” during two separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan, according to the military’s media wing on Tuesday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the first operation was carried out in the Mach area of Kachhi district, where troops, acting on credible intelligence, engaged with armed militants. Five suspected BLA operatives were killed during a heavy exchange of fire.
In a separate operation in the Margand area of Kalat district, security personnel raided a suspected militant hideout. Two additional BLA members were killed during the ensuing confrontation.
ISPR stated that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were seized from both locations. It further claimed that the deceased individuals were connected to India-backed terrorism and were involved in several attacks targeting security forces and public infrastructure in Balochistan.
The military emphasized that security forces are committed to eradicating terrorism and reaffirmed the nation’s determination to hold both the attackers and their supporters accountable.
These operations are part of an ongoing counterterrorism campaign in Balochistan, a province where insurgent groups continue to carry out intermittent assaults on state institutions.
