Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday reiterated the government’s firm resolve to completely eradicate polio from Pakistan through a comprehensive strategy and effective coordination.
During a meeting with Global Development Gates Foundation President Dr Chris Elias, the prime minister said Pakistan would continue working with trusted partners, including the Gates Foundation and Saudi Arabia, until the disease is eliminated.
He directed the federal health ministry to enhance public awareness and ensure vaccine availability, while confirming continued PSDP support and close coordination with provinces to facilitate anti-polio teams nationwide.
