Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday underscored the urgent need for national unity to effectively combat terrorism and extremism, speaking to members of the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee. He stressed that collective efforts are essential to safeguard Pakistan’s peace, stability, and development.
The premier highlighted Pakistan’s vast natural resources, worth trillions, noting that their full exploration could help reduce poverty, unemployment, and national debt. He also commended minorities for their contributions in key sectors, and paid tribute to Cecil Chaudhry and Justice Rana Bhagwandas for their enduring service to the nation.
PM Shehbaz recalled the decisive victory during Marka-e-Haq in May 2025, attributing it to the professional capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces. He called on the international community to recognize Pakistan’s sacrifices and reiterated the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee’s role in promoting peace and countering hate narratives nationwide.
