The Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) in Islamabad has launched a policy hiring drive to support the next phase of CPEC, known as CPEC 2.0. The initiative aims to enhance research and policy coordination at the Centre of Excellence for CPEC, focusing on industrial cooperation and socio-economic development.
Thirteen project-based positions have been announced under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives. The roles include an Executive Director, five Heads of Policy in areas such as trade, energy, technology, and socio-economic development, along with research associates, IT specialists, and administrative staff.
The appointments, initially for two years and extendable annually, are designed to strengthen institutional capacity, improve coordination among federal and provincial governments, and support private sector and international partners involved in CPEC projects. Applications are open until January 25, 2026, via PIDE’s official website.
