Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has signed a Cargo Interline Special Rate Agreement with Biman Bangladesh Airlines to enhance trade links and simplify air cargo movement between the two countries. The deal, effective from December 1, aims to reduce logistical hurdles for transporting textiles, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural products.
Under the partnership, PIA will utilize major Saudi Arabian hubs including Jeddah, Madinah, and Riyadh as transit points, creating a strategic corridor for regional trade. This corridor is expected to facilitate faster deliveries and smoother operations for cargo shipments between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
This agreement follows the recent warming of ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh, which has seen renewed cooperation in trade, cultural exchanges, and joint initiatives. The collaboration marks a step forward in strengthening bilateral economic relations and expanding competitive cargo services for both airlines.
