Pakistan and Turkey held high-level discussions to strengthen cooperation in the energy sector, focusing on power sector reforms and the privatization of electricity distribution companies (DISCOs).
Federal Minister for Energy, Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, briefed his Turkish counterpart on comprehensive reforms aimed at improving efficiency, governance, and service delivery. The privatization process is being pursued in a transparent and competitive manner to attract global investors.
Türkiye’s Minister Alparslan Bayraktar expressed confidence in Turkish companies actively exploring investment opportunities. Both sides also discussed creating a joint platform for stakeholders and investors to facilitate dialogue, highlight potential partnerships, and promote long-term collaboration in Pakistan’s energy sector.
