Pakistan’s participation in the Texworld New York City 2025 Summer Show was inaugurated by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Shaikh. The Ambassador was accompanied by Consul General in New York, Aamir Ahmed Atozai, and Trade and Investment Counsellor, Adnan Awan.
At the exhibition, six leading Pakistani textile companies were showcased. A diverse range of apparel and fabrics was presented, reflecting Pakistan’s global reputation for sustainable production, high-quality manufacturing, and competitive export capacity.
The Texworld New York City 2025 Summer Show, recognised as the largest sourcing trade fair on the U.S. East Coast, was attended by hundreds of international exhibitors. Through this platform, eco-friendly fabrics, innovative apparel solutions, and market-driven textile advancements were introduced to American buyers. For Pakistani exporters, it was seen as a vital opportunity to strengthen visibility, enhance buyer linkages, and expand their footprint in the U.S. market.
Ambassador Shaikh’s remarks emphasised that Pakistan’s textile sector is vital for the country’s exports and foreign exchange earnings. It was underlined that consistent representation at international trade shows must be ensured to sustain competitiveness. Furthermore, the proactive role of Pakistan’s Embassy in Washington, D.C., and the Consulate General in New York was reaffirmed, as full diplomatic and commercial support will continue to be extended to exporters.
By taking part in the Texworld New York City 2025 Summer Show, Pakistan’s textile industry has not only reinforced its global standing but has also showcased its adaptability to modern trends, sustainability goals, and international market needs.
