Pakistan and Myanmar agreed to renew and strengthen bilateral relations through expanded trade, people-to-people engagement, and academic exchanges. Talks were held between FM Ishaq Dar and Myanmar’s FM Than Swe in Islamabad.
Both sides committed to broadening cooperation in trade, cultural and religious tourism, science, humanitarian assistance, and youth engagement, signaling a pragmatic turn in relations after years of limited interaction.
A Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations was signed, creating a platform for regular dialogue on bilateral, regional, and international issues. Pakistan reaffirmed support for a peaceful and stable Myanmar.
