Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, officially announced the launch of Indus AI Week 2026, a flagship national program promoting artificial intelligence across the country. Scheduled for 9–15 February, the initiative will serve as a platform to connect government, industry, academia, and the startup ecosystem, emphasizing responsible AI use and practical implementation.
The event will feature a series of activities including the Indus AI Summit, innovation showcases, skill-building sessions, certification opportunities, and interactive public engagements. Universities, tech companies, and government institutions across Pakistan will host co-branded events to encourage participation, strengthen AI capabilities, and promote collaboration between local and international innovators.
Highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to technology-driven growth, Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized that Indus AI Week will help the country establish itself as a credible participant in the global AI landscape. By linking policy, education, and entrepreneurship, the initiative aims to translate AI discussions into hands-on learning, adoption, and economic opportunities, supporting the next generation of technology leaders in Pakistan.
