Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, announced that Pakistan has launched an initiative to digitize its cultural heritage and traditions.
While speaking at a forum in Beijing titled “Civilizational Exchange and Mutual Learning: Cultural Heritage and Innovation,” he said the digitization project will help preserve Pakistan’s rich cultural history while enabling the youth to reinterpret and leverage it in shaping a brighter future.
The minister described China as Pakistan’s “Iron Brother,” emphasizing that the two nations share more than just borders, they share mountains, rivers, a deep-rooted civilization, and a long-standing historical bond.
He highlighted that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is more than a trade route; it is also a pathway of friendship that includes art, culture, and food.
Attaullah Tarar said both countries are exploring future collaborations, including co-producing documentaries and films. He also underscored the importance of exchanging digital media influencers, stating that the future lies in strengthening ties through digital platforms.
He added that Pakistan’s partnership with China Media Group has played a key role in empowering and enlightening the country’s youth.
