Pakistan explored new technology partnerships with Chinese robotics companies at the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC 2026) in Beijing.

The conference ran from August 19 to 23 at the Beiren Etrong International Exhibition and Convention Center E-Town. It brought together more than 300 exhibiting companies and showcased over 3,000 innovative products.

The event highlighted China’s growing role in robotics, embodied artificial intelligence, and smart manufacturing.

Strong International Participation

Held under the theme “Human-Robot Symbiosis, Production-Demand Convergence,” the conference attracted record international participation.

More than 30 international organizations supported the event. International guests also accounted for around 30% of participants at the main forum.

Moreover, the conference featured 311 newly launched products, reflecting the rapid development of the global robotics industry.

Pakistan Eyes New Technology Partnerships

Pakistani technology delegations, researchers, and trade representatives used the conference to explore partnerships with leading Chinese robotics enterprises.

Their discussions focused on opportunities for technology cooperation, industrial modernization, and digital transformation.

For Pakistan, the event also highlighted potential opportunities under CPEC Phase II. The next phase places greater emphasis on high-tech cooperation, industrial upgrading, and digital development.

China’s Robotics Sector Expands

The conference demonstrated how China’s robotics industry is moving beyond laboratory research toward commercial applications.

International visitors also highlighted the growing accessibility of China for technology professionals and business communities.

Furthermore, the rapid development of practical robotics applications is attracting greater international interest in China’s technology ecosystem.

Beijing Strengthens Role as Robotics Hub

Beijing E-Town continues to strengthen its position as an international center for robotics and smart manufacturing.

The conference provided a platform for companies, researchers, and investors to exchange ideas and explore new partnerships.

As a result, Pakistan’s participation could help create new opportunities for cooperation in robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing.

CPEC Phase II and High-Tech Cooperation

The growing interest in robotics aligns with the broader objectives of CPEC Phase II. Pakistan can potentially benefit from Chinese expertise in automation, smart factories, robotics, and digital technologies.

In addition, deeper collaboration could support industrial productivity and help Pakistani businesses adopt advanced manufacturing solutions.

The WRC 2026 therefore offered an important platform for Pakistan to connect with China’s rapidly expanding robotics ecosystem.
