Government College University Faisalabad’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, visited China for the 5th Belt and Road China–Pakistan Agriculture Forum at Huazhong Agricultural University. The forum focused on boosting academic and research cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
Prof. Rauf-i-Azam highlighted GCUF’s internationalization agenda and invited Chinese scholars to collaborate on research, teaching, and student exchanges. Pakistan’s Ambassador to China appreciated the longstanding academic partnership and joint initiatives.
GCUF signed a landmark MoU with Lushan Botanical Garden to establish Pakistan’s first botanical garden. The initiative will promote environmental education, scientific tourism, and practical research opportunities for students.
Additionally, GCUF signed a MoU with Huazhong Agricultural University to enhance collaboration in agriculture and biological sciences. The agreement covers joint research projects, faculty exchanges, and supervision of postgraduate scholars.
