China’s Foreign Ministry and Civil Aviation Administration have coordinated emergency flights to bring back stranded Chinese travelers from the Middle East. Over the past few days, more than 10,000 citizens from countries including UAE Oman and Saudi Arabia have returned safely, according to spokesperson Guo Jiakun.
Chinese embassies and consulates in the region assisted travelers by facilitating flight approvals with local authorities issuing safety updates and providing guidance and support to ensure orderly repatriation.
With conflicts spreading across parts of the Middle East some airports remain partially closed. The Foreign Ministry advised Chinese citizens to avoid travel to regions affected by the ongoing military tensions while embassies continue to provide assistance to those in need.
