Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated on Tuesday that the ministry, along with relevant embassies and consulates, is urgently organizing the evacuation of Chinese nationals from Iran and Israel due to escalating tensions.
He noted that Chinese authorities promptly activated an emergency response mechanism and have urged both countries to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions on the ground.
Guo highlighted that the government has issued timely safety alerts and instructions, remained in constant contact with Chinese nationals and organizations in the affected regions, and provided guidance on safety and emergency evacuation procedures.
He confirmed that some Chinese citizens have already been safely evacuated to nearby countries.
