The Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute in Gwadar has registered 416 students for the 2026 academic intake, indicating rising interest in skill-based education under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor framework. Teaching activities are scheduled to commence from January 15.
According to institute officials, the new intake includes learners enrolled in short-duration certification programmes as well as one-year and three-year diploma tracks. Training areas cover modern and market-driven disciplines such as information technology, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, tourism, port and maritime management, along with Chinese and English language studies.
Since its establishment, the institute has continued to broaden its academic scope in line with workforce demands. More than 250 students have graduated so far, while dozens successfully completed diploma programmes by the end of 2025, reflecting the institute’s growing contribution to human capital development in Gwadar.
