The Balochistan Fisheries Department has started the registration, measurement, and inspection of fishermen’s boats in Gwadar. The activity began on September 10 under the provincial government’s fishermen-friendly policy.
Officials aim to help fishermen complete their boat documentation. The process will also support smoother fishing operations in deep-sea waters.
Inspection Team Visits Pasni
The Fisheries Pasni inspection team visited several landing areas in Pasni.
During the visit, officials registered and measured fishermen’s boats. They also carried out the required inspections.
Assistant Director Fisheries Muhammad Aslam Askani supervises the activity. Director General Fisheries Balochistan Atiqullah Khan issued special instructions for the campaign.
Fishermen Urged to Complete Registration
Officials advised fishermen to register their boats as soon as possible. They also encouraged crews to obtain cards for all members.
These documents can help fishermen avoid difficulties during deep-sea fishing activities. Moreover, completing the process will improve official records of fishing boats and crews.
Officials Support the Registration Drive
Fisheries Officer Muhammad Younis joined the inspection team during the campaign. Inspectors Zarif Nosherwani, Rahim Bakhsh, and Hasil Khan also participated.
