A Chinese healthcare company has presented Rs1 million to PIMS nurse Razia Noreen for her bravery during a hospital fire.
Noreen rescued a child from a fire that broke out in the nursery of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). The recognition highlights the growing people-to-people ties between Pakistan and China.
Chinese Healthcare Firm Recognizes Her Courage
Yan Jin, Chairperson of JFH (Jiangchuan Fuhai) of Shanghai, presented the cheque to Nurse Razia Noreen. Business Manager Blair He also attended the presentation.
Yan Jin praised Noreen’s courage during the emergency. She called her a “real hero” for saving the child’s life.
Moreover, she said that saving even one life means saving a part of humanity. She stressed that courage and compassion can cross national boundaries.

JFH operates across several areas of the healthcare industry. Its activities include pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, healthcare investment, surgical robotics, and medical training.

Speaking to Gwadar Pro, Yan Jin expressed her friendship with Pakistan. She also pledged to use her influence to attract more Chinese investment and promote bilateral trade.
In addition, she highlighted the strong goodwill between the people of China and Pakistan. She said Chinese people have deep affection for Pakistan.
Recognition Supported by Pakistani Business Leaders
The initiative received support from Majyd Aziz, President of the Employers Federation of Pakistan. Visiting Chinese representatives contacted him to help facilitate the recognition.
The Chinese delegation also appreciated efforts to promote women’s empowerment and gender equality in Pakistan.
