Flag-raising ceremony for Chinese National Day held in Gwadar Port

On October 1, 2022, the National Day of the People’s Republic of China, a solemn flag-raising ceremony was held in Gwadar Port to warmly celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. At 10:01 in the morning, the Chinese staff, Pakistani staff, local students, dignitaries and representatives from all walks of life in the port area lined up neatly.

The students of Faqeer Colony Primary School stood in front with flowers in their hands. The high-spirited flag-raising team marched neatly and cheerfully to escort the national flag to the flag platform, accompanied by the majestic national anthem of the People’s Republic of China. The bright five-star red flag rose steadily.

This is the tenth time the five-star red flag has been raised in Gwadar Port. In the past ten years, Gwadar Port has revamped the economy, benefited people’s livelihood and promoted employment, construction and development.

Projects such as Gwadar Faqeer Colony Public School, Gwadar Vocational and Technical Institute and East Bay Expressway aided and constructed by China have been completed and put into operation.

Major livelihood projects such as desalination plant are under vigorous construction. With the continuous development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor towards a high-quality target, Gwadar Port, the “jewel in the crown”, will surely become brighter and brighter.
