A 132 kV grid station has been commissioned at the Dasu Hydropower Project, marking a major step forward in strengthening the project’s electricity transmission system. The facility was inaugurated by Water and Power Development Authority Chairman Lt. General Muhammad Saeed during his visit to the project site.
The newly completed grid station is designed to ensure efficient transmission of electricity from the hydropower project to the national grid while supporting construction-related power requirements. Officials described the development as an important milestone toward the timely operationalization of the project.
Located in Upper Kohistan, the Dasu Hydropower Project is one of Pakistan’s key renewable energy initiatives aimed at improving long-term energy security through clean electricity generation. The commissioning of the grid station reflects continued progress in building essential infrastructure for future power production
