Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza attended the 98th founding anniversary ceremony of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China as the Chief Guest in Islamabad.
In his speech, he extended heartfelt congratulations to the Chinese people, military leadership, and all ranks of the PLA on this significant occasion.
General Mirza praised the PLA’s key role in China’s impressive progress and modernization under the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping.
He emphasized China’s role as a stabilizing force in the region’s security landscape.
The Chairman highlighted the deep-rooted and resilient “Iron-clad brotherhood” between Pakistan and China, reaffirming the shared commitment to expanding this unique bond across multiple sectors.
He also reiterated Pakistan’s firm assurance for the safety of Chinese nationals working in the country and reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to advancing cooperation on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), enhancing defence ties, and promoting regional peace and development.
