Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting held in Tianjin.
During the meeting, Ishaq Dar congratulated Wang Yi on the successful organization of the SCO gathering and expressed appreciation to China’s leadership for their warm hospitality during the event.
The two leaders engaged in comprehensive discussions on key areas of mutual interest, particularly the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and broader multilateral cooperation. They acknowledged the strength of the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration in various sectors.
Both sides reaffirmed their strong commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation to advance regional peace, stability, and development.
A day earlier, Ishaq Dar also held a meeting with Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov during the concluding cruise of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting in Tianjin.
In a social media post, Dar stated that both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the long-standing and diverse Pakistan-Uzbekistan partnership, reviewed progress on current initiatives, and agreed to enhance cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, including the Uzbek-Afghan-Pakistan railway connectivity project
