A senior defense delegation headed by Lieutenant General Wang Gang, Chief of Staff of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), at Air Headquarters in Islamabad.
During their discussions, the two sides addressed areas of mutual concern, regional security developments, and ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the realms of airpower and operational coordination.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu warmly received the Chinese delegation, emphasizing the enduring and strategic nature of Pakistan-China relations, which are founded on mutual trust and a shared vision for peace and stability in the region.
Lieutenant General Wang Gang was given a detailed overview of the PAF’s advanced force structure, strategic goals, and the development of its operational doctrines.
The Air Chief reaffirmed the strong friendship between the two air forces and reiterated the PAF’s commitment to deepening collaboration in areas such as training, technological advancement, and joint operations. General Wang Gang expressed admiration for the PAF’s high operational standards and state-of-the-art capabilities. He especially noted the PAF’s effective integration of Multi-Domain Operations, calling it a benchmark in modern air combat and expressing PLAAF’s eagerness to learn from PAF’s combat-tested experience in this area.
He also praised the professionalism and strategic vision of PAF leadership, and commended the Air Force’s exemplary conduct during the recent conflict with India. The Chinese general highlighted the PAF’s disciplined and precise response as a model of bravery and strategic excellence in the face of unprovoked aggression.
The meeting underscored the mutual commitment of both Pakistan and China to further elevate their strategic partnership through enhanced cooperation and innovative collaboration.
