A Chinese woman lost her life after jumping from the rooftop of a residential building in Islamabad’s G-8 sector on Wednesday, police officials confirmed. The incident created panic in the area as residents alerted authorities immediately after the fall.
According to initial investigations, the woman, identified as Wan Ru Peng, was a Chinese national visiting Pakistan on a visit visa. Police said preliminary evidence indicates the act appears to be suicide, though officials are continuing to examine all aspects of the case.
Law enforcement personnel shifted the body to a nearby hospital for medico-legal procedures and launched a full investigation. Authorities stated that further details will be shared once forensic and official reports are completed.
