Chinese telecom provider collaboration brings healthcare facilities to Sindh as the Mobile Health Unit visited nine different districts.
A collaborative effort between Chinese telecom provider Zong 4G and Alkhidmat Foundation has successfully provided healthcare services to 3,000 patients in remote areas of Sindh.
The Mobile Health Unit (MHU) visited nine districts, offering free medical consultations, check-ups, and essential medicines. This initiative focused on addressing prevalent health concerns such as child malnutrition and waterborne diseases in regions with limited medical infrastructure.
A medical team comprising 15 healthcare professionals and 30 volunteers from Alkhidmat Foundation traveled to Dadu, Shahdadkot, Larkana, Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Jamshoro. Residents expressed gratitude for the accessibility of medical services in their localities.
Andleeb Aslam, Deputy Director of Communications and Sustainability at Zong 4G, emphasized the company’s commitment to inclusive development. She highlighted that the partnership with Alkhidmat Foundation aims to ensure healthcare reaches communities in remote locations.
In December 2024, Zong 4G and Alkhidmat Foundation formalized an agreement to offer free medical care to 3,000 patients in Sindh. Within three months, the initiative successfully met its target, reflecting both organizations’ dedication to improving healthcare accessibility in underserved areas.
