Visiting Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi arrived at Pakistan’s Foreign Office in Islamabad on Wednesday for official talks aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Wang Yi, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, was warmly received by senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His visit comes at a crucial time as both countries are working to expand collaboration under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase-II and deepen strategic ties.
During his engagements at the Foreign Office, discussions are expected to cover a wide range of issues, including regional security, trade and investment, counter-terrorism cooperation, and enhanced people-to-people linkages. The two sides are also likely to review progress on ongoing projects and explore new avenues for partnership in energy, infrastructure, and technology.
Pakistan and China have consistently reaffirmed their “all-weather strategic partnership,” with both leaderships emphasising the importance of closer economic and diplomatic cooperation. Wang Yi’s visit is expected to further cement the longstanding friendship and open fresh opportunities for mutual growth and development.
