China has dispatched a specialized medical team to the Democratic Republic of the Congo to assist in responding to the latest Ebola outbreak.
Support Mission for Three Months
The team will remain in the country for a three-month mission focused on outbreak control and emergency health response. In addition, they will support local health authorities in managing containment efforts.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo confirmed its 17th Ebola outbreak since 1976 on May 15. Shortly after, the World Health Organization declared the situation a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.
