Dong’e-E-Jiao Co., Ltd. has recognized Gwadar-based Hangeng Group as its strategic partner in Pakistan. The two companies signed a 10-year international cooperation agreement in Liaocheng, Shandong.

The agreement aims to modernize Pakistan’s donkey industry. It will also strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and China in livestock and agriculture.

Pakistan Donkey Research Center Planned

Under the agreement, Hangeng Group will establish the Pakistan Research Center for the Donkey Industry. It will also create a unit focused on sustainable development and animal welfare.

The center will support research, breed improvement, nutrition, disease prevention, and industry standards. In addition, both sides plan to jointly invest in a specialized donkey-industry laboratory.

Focus on Research and Traceability

Dong’e-E-Jiao will provide support in scientific research and professional training. The company will also assist with quality standards and supply-chain development.

Meanwhile, Hangeng has developed a local value chain covering selective breeding, farm production, contract farming, animal traceability, slaughtering, processing, and exports to China.

Both sides will strengthen farm registration and breeding records. They will also improve disease inspection and source-level traceability.

Facilitating Exports to China

The companies will work with relevant authorities on veterinary certification and quarantine procedures. They will also coordinate customs requirements and traceability verification.

Moreover, technical cooperation will cover animal nutrition, feed management, disease control, and improved breeding practices.

The partners also plan to upgrade slaughtering, processing, warehousing, and cold-chain facilities. These improvements will help meet Chinese market-access and safety requirements.

Boosting Pakistan’s Livestock Sector

Hangeng Group CEO Andy Liao said the partnership could help modernize Pakistan’s donkey sector. He also highlighted opportunities for employment and higher farmer incomes.

Furthermore, the initiative could strengthen veterinary skills and support higher-value livestock production.

Animal Welfare and Sustainable Development

The agreement places strong emphasis on animal welfare and environmental protection. Both sides aim to promote sustainable management of donkey resources.

They also seek to prevent practices that could harm the industry’s long-term development. As a result, the partnership combines commercial goals with sustainability measures.

Strengthening Pakistan-China Agricultural Cooperation

The 10-year agreement marks a new area of Pakistan-China cooperation in livestock development. It combines Chinese research expertise with Pakistan’s local production and supply-chain capacity.

Specific investment arrangements and product details will be finalized through subsequent agreements.
