China is actively mediating between Pakistan and Afghanistan through its diplomatic channels to ease escalating border tensions. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning highlighted China’s concern, emphasizing that continued conflict could cause serious harm to both nations and their citizens.
Mao stressed China’s support for countering terrorism in all forms and called on both Pakistan and Afghanistan to exercise restraint. She urged dialogue and consultations to achieve an immediate ceasefire, protect civilians, and prevent further escalation of violence in the region.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry, along with its embassies in Pakistan and Afghanistan, is closely coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions. China affirmed its readiness to continue a constructive role in fostering peace and stability along the border areas.
