The Embassy of China in Pakistan has awarded scholarships worth Rs4 million to students at Karakoram International University. The funding comes under the Ambassador’s Merit-cum-Need Scholarship Program.
The university confirmed that the grant will support talented and deserving students. Moreover, it will cover both the main campus and all sub-campuses.
Attaullah Shah expressed gratitude to the Chinese ambassador and the delegation. He said the initiative will strengthen educational opportunities for youth in Gilgit-Baltistan.
He added that the scholarship will help develop skilled and educated graduates. As a result, these students can contribute positively to society and regional development.
Meanwhile, the university’s Financial Aid Office has opened applications. Both undergraduate and graduate students can apply. However, candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Overall, the initiative highlights growing educational cooperation between Pakistan and China. It also supports students in achieving academic and professional success.
