Pakistan and China have agreed to strengthen cooperation in police training, modern technology, and law enforcement equipment.
The agreement came during a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and China’s Vice Minister of Public Security in Islamabad.
China to Support Law Enforcement Centre
Both sides also agreed that China will assist Pakistan in establishing a modern Law Enforcement Centre.
Mohsin Naqvi described the planned centre as another symbol of Pakistan-China friendship. He also highlighted the potential of Chinese artificial intelligence and modern equipment in addressing security challenges.
Focus on Internal Security Cooperation
The Interior Minister said Pakistan wants to further expand cooperation with China in internal security.
Moreover, stronger police training exchanges can support professional development and knowledge sharing between law enforcement institutions in both countries.
China Praises Pakistan’s Counterterrorism Efforts
The Chinese Vice Minister of Public Security praised Pakistan’s sacrifices and commitment in the fight against terrorism.
In addition, the two sides discussed strengthening practical cooperation to address evolving law enforcement and security challenges.
Deepening Pakistan-China Cooperation
The latest agreement adds another dimension to the broader Pakistan-China partnership. Alongside economic and technological cooperation, both countries are expanding institutional engagement in law enforcement and public security.
